Piano Teaching is one of the areas of work I love the most, discovering new techniques and tones in a beautiful instrument.
I have worked with many different people and bands over the years, tuning and servicing their pianos, and so have also learnt a lot through other artists as well as my own experience.
My main area of teaching is Jazz, and I focus on trying to teach the ear to be musically attuned and for the pianist to feel the music, rather than simply reading the notes.
I offer teaching to all age groups, and treat music as a means of expressing oneself and having fun! So do not be put off by the thought of a military regime!
Classes are usually held in the students home, and I recommend the budding new pianist have a 1 hour lesson every week.
